  Super bad customer service. One of their employees (a high school student) who was a girl and is supposed to be working in the woman’s section or at the cash register, tries to help me out only to later break into a huge argument. We brought in a shirt from gurnee banana republic to try to return it and had accidentally left it in a fitting room while trying other clothes on. This girl takes the shirt and keeps asking for our credit card and receipt when she could have easily checked the tags and realized it wasn’t from their store. When she realized it wasn’t from her store she gives the shirt back and doesn’t apologize. When we asked her why she didn’t check the tags before she was accusing us of taking the shirt she got really upset, showed more attitude and raised her voice (keep in mind she’s like 16 speaking to an adult) and when I raised my voice all of a sudden the manager and another employee come and try to handle the situation. The employee was really rude and was threatening by saying “you don’t want any of this” the manger was more resonable and checked us out. And while we were being checked out the employee calls the cops and after ending the call with the cops he smirks and laughs and keeps whispering about us clearly to the other employees. When I said “if you want to say something say it to my out face” (I was with my dad and siblings) the enployee proceeds to say “respect your elders” even though their other employee who is around 16-17 was screaming at my dad. Very poor service in general. We have been shopping at banana republic for years and have never had this bad quality of service.

  I came in with my mom and some family friends, wearing a laptop bag cross-body, speaking our native language. The staff kept following me around as if I was there to steal. Fine, whatever, their loss prevention training's lacking.
  
  Then, an associate whom my mom asked to help with her zipper blatantly body shamed my mom and acted like she'd catch my mom's psoriasis if the were to touch a patch.
  
  I was disgusted by the older staff's behavior. They need someone from corporate to fly in and have intensive customer service training.
